Support for the struggle of workers from the electronics company NXP Semiconductors, formerly Philips, against the May 7 illegal dismissal of 24 of their officers amid the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations with NxP management poured in from different workers’ groups, unions, solidarity organisations and individuals from across the world. The NXP workers have condemned the dismissals and called it part of management’s efforts to bust their union. The workers and their supports have been conducting protest actions, including a global day of action to support their struggle, in an effort to push the management to reinstate the dismissed union leaders and force the government to intervene in the workers’ behalf.

Supporters of NXP workers have started a social media campaign calling on people to post selfies or photos that call for reinstatement of the dismissed union officers and expose management efforts to bust the NXP union. Many of the selfies by fellow workers, activists and labor rights activists have been posted in the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/bringbacknxp24.
