Sikretong pulong ng mga opisyal ng US, RP binatikos ng CPP

Binatikos ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) ang sikreto umanong pagdating sa bansa ng mga nangungunang opisyal panseguridad at pangmilitar ng administrasyong Obama ng US para makipagpulong sa mga opisyal ng rehimeng Arroyo.

Dumating sa bansa si US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Garry Reid noong Miyerkules, Abril 15, at nakipagpulong kina Department of National Defense (DND) undersecretary Antonio Romero, DND undersecretary Arturo Lumibao at iba pang nangungunang opisyal panseguridad ng rehimeng Arroyo.

Nakatitiyak ang CPP na pag-uusapan ng dalawang panig ang pag-igting ng interbensiyong militar ng US sa bansa.

“US imperialism and its defense and security officials are gravely concerned with the continued growth of the Filipino people’s revolutionary armed struggle and the failure of the terminal US-designed Internal Security Operation Plan Bantay Laya to defeat or even cripple the revolutionary movement in the Philippines,” ayon sa CPP.

Maliban dito, inaasahang pinag-uusapan din ang darating na halalan at ang mga plano umano ni Pangulong Arroyo na manatili sa poder matapos ang halalang 2010.

Sinabi rin ng naturang rebolusyonaryong grupo na siguradong nakipag-usap ang mga opisyal ng US hinggil sa implementasyon ng programang kontra-insurhensiya ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na Oplan Bantay Laya na dinisenyo umano ng US.

“The US imperialists are plotting increasing military intervention especially in the face of CPP’s declaration to step up its guerrilla warfare and reach the stage of strategic stalemate in its people’s war within the next five years,” sabi pa ng CPP.

Malamang din umanong pinag-usapan kung paano o kailan maaaring makialam ang US kung magkakaroon ng failure of elections sa Mayo 10.

“The CPP denounces US interventionism and its surreptitious involvement in the counter-revolutionary war of the reactionary regime to suppress the people’s revolutionary resistance and intervene in the political and military affairs of the country. The US is increasingly meddling in the raging civil war in the Philippines and setting the stage for another Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan or Haiti,” pagtatapos nito.
